The Ford Duratec engine is available in 1.8, 2.0, 2.3 and 2.5-liter sizes and is widely regarded as the most important performance 4-cylinder engine for the foreseeable future.

The affordability of entry-level engines combined with the ease with which Duratec generates power has enabled the performance engine market to achieve outstanding results even on limited budgets.

The success of the Raceline Zetec-R range of components demonstrated that a well-designed product offers much better long-term value. The Duratec-R range has been developed with the same attention to detail, offering excellent value for money for this level of quality. Duratec stock
All Raceline Duratec cylinder heads are developed in collaboration with our CNC cylinder machining partner, designed and modeled with the latest CAD-CAM techniques and machined using the latest CNC machining techniques. With our combined knowledge of performance engine design, coupled with the latest testing, design and machining ideas, we are able to offer superior CNC modified cylinder heads that comfortably outperform any other comparable cylinder head on the market today.

Raceline offers three basic Duratec cylinder head specifications:
PHASE 1 - Ford Duratec high port cylinder head machined on a CNC port and retaining the original 35/30 mm valve sizes.
PHASE 2: CNC machined Ford Duratec high port cylinder head for oversized 36 / 31mm 1mm valves. Re-profiled CNC valve seats to retain the original valve seat inserts. Valve clearance will be obtained using standard Ford Graduated Cam Followers. 36/31 mm valves available separately.

PHASE 3 - CNC machined Ford Duratec high port cylinder head for oversized 2mm 37/31mm valves. Inserted Lage valve seats and re-profiled CNC. Valve clearance will be obtained using standard Ford Graduated Cam Followers. 37/31 mm valves available separately.

Duratec camshafts
Raceline has been working with Kent Performance Cams for over 20 years developing a range of camshafts for 4-cylinder Ford engines. The result of the collaboration is a wide range of camshafts covering the Ford Zetec, Duratec and Ecoboost engine types. Duratec profiles cover Duratec 1.8l, 2.0l, 2.3l and 2.5l engines, including options for later variable valve timed engines. You will find below our most popular profiles. Pistons, connecting rods and crankshafts
Raceline has a range of Omega forged pistons for the 2000cc, 2300cc and 2500cc Duratec engines. To complement our wide range of pistons, Raceline also has a range of lightweight steel connecting rods, including the Arrow connecting rod that we use in our engine constructions. All connecting rods are equipped with ARP high strength connecting rod bolts. 2000cc, 2300cc, and 2500cc VP connecting rod bearings are also available from stock along with top bearing quality options. Duratec steering wheel and clutch
Raceline Duratec 7 ¼ "and 8 ½" lightweight billet flywheels are machined from EN24T steel with an integrated, heat-treated and parkerized crown gear.
The standard diameter flywheels are designed to be used in conjunction with the standard Duratec starter motor. Raceline also offers a "compact" version of the steering wheel that retains the same clutch footprint but, by cutting the crown off the rear face of the steering wheel, allows for a smaller overall diameter of 268mm. The 'compact' flywheel can only be used in conjunction with our 'compact' starter and together they can be neatly packaged inside our 'compact' bell housing, our smallest Duratec bell housing configuration which in turn fits the critical dimensions of Raceline dry sump system.

Duratec dry sump kits

The Raceline single-pressure debris removal sump kit eliminates the need for an external pump, pulley, and of course a drive belt, the area of ​​great concern for more conventional dry sump arrangements. The dry sump kit was designed with the assistance of one of the best engine designers and has become the Duratec dry sump kit of choice for leading sports car manufacturers, racing applications like Sports 2000, and road applications such as Classic Fords Perfect for all online applications, from road cars to wings and oil slicks.

Raceline has taken many years from the original idea of ​​placing the pump internally in the sump to have dry sump kits available on the shelf. While the concept has been replicated by other component suppliers, Raceline hopes that long development, lessons learned from other kits, and assistance from one of the best engine designers, have resulted in a market-leading dry sump kit. both in cost and performance.

The Raceline Duratec Dry Sump Kit measures 440mm long x 310mm wide and 75mm tall. The dry sump is designed for online applications only.

The Raceline line Duratec-R 'Dry Sump Tray Kit includes:

Sand cast aluminum dry sump tray, integral dry sump pump and adjustment kit, wind protection tray kit, filter set and finger caps, -12 inlet and outlet fittings, complete set of O-rings and accessories.

Duratec wet sump (10 degree)
The Raceline Duraline Aluminum Wet Sump Crankcase Kit is designed to run 5 liters of oil while providing maximum ground clearance (approximately 75mm from the block face) while still retaining the overall rigidity of the drivetrain assembly . The design continues the three-compartment design with bleed holes that have proven to be so successful with the Zetec wet sump, again with an integral oil collection line that accumulates from the center section. The oil is controlled by a baffle pan located on top of all three compartments, keeping the oil in place during difficult curves, but still allowing the oil to drain from above. The oil pump seal block wedge to the sump and the additional wind shield tray above the baffle pan differ between the kits listed to accommodate Ford and Mazda base engine designs. All wet sump kits come complete with fittings and fixings and an insert fitting for a custom dipstick arrangement. The new 10-degree sump is designed to suit Mazda applications with the engine tilted at 10 degrees (common when running the MX5 gearbox). This sump can also be used with front-wheel drive Duratec transverse applications where increased capacity and oil control are required.)
